Surface treatment
New unpainted surfaces: Clean the surface and remove all possible traces of dust or dirt. Treat the substrate
with a priming coat of ADIFIX thinned as specified and allow to dry. Proceed with the application of a basecoat
using FONDO UNIVERSALE thinned in the recommended doses.
Previously painted surfaces: Check that the state of the existing paintwork is in excellent condition, if so,
proceed directly with the application of the FONDO UNIVERSALE, as described in the previous paragraph.
If the surface shows signs of defects, such as peeling or chalking, remove any loose parts that would compromise
the correct adhesion of the product then proceed as indicated hereabove for New unpainted surfaces.
Preparing the required color
The chosen color is obtained by adding the specified quantity of Adicolor TINTERS (series DT25 to DT99 and the DTX series) to the product base according to the formula indicated on the color chart. Mix the product with a flywheel drill at low speed before and after coloring. Prepare the color at least 12 hours before use. The product can also be colored with the Adicolor tinting system.
Application
To obtain the best workability, it is recommended to use the product after at least 12 hours from coloring.
Apply a first level coat of MARMORINO onto the prepared surface using a stainless-steel rounded trowel.
The surface of this layer should result to be totally smooth and uniform, without edge marks or roughness.
When the first coat is completely dry, apply the second coat, spreading the product with crossed and nonuniform movements, creating a very smooth and compact surface, free from any defects or edge marks.
Spread a thin and final layer of product using thorough and consistent movements and strong pressure on the
trowel. Continue troweling and burnishing until the desired finish and sheen is achieved.
To provide the coating with more shine, a higher protection and give more evidence to the pattern, it is possible
to apply our waterborne EASYWAX to the surface. In this case, after total drying of the coating, spread the wax
with a synthetic sponge then wipe down with a soft cloth to polish before the wax is completely dry.
